Freda Matkowitz was born on August 5, 1890 in Russia to Itzik Matkowitz and his wife Yachad. She had a brother Chiel and a sister Nechema (aka Anna). Freda immigrated to the US at the age of 17, and settled in New York.
Freda married Benjamin Stern and had children Edith (b. 1911), Rose (b. 1912), Jack (1916) and George (1920).
Later, Freda and Benjamin divorced, and she married Dave Diamond, who died of a heart attack soon after. She subsequently married David Frimkess.
Freda passed away in about 1967 in Santa Monica. Freda's family history information can be found here.
